Hello...

My name is Richard and I have been teaching guitar for 11 years. I teach guitar privately to students of all ages in and around Cambridge. In addition, I am currently a peripatetic guitar teacher at St Faith’s School in Cambridge and Watford Grammar School. For Hertfordshire Music Services I work at Longdean School in Hemel Hempstead.

I am as happy to teach electric guitar as I am teaching classical guitar and bass. I also teach A.B.R.S.M. theory.

As a musician who has, and still does, gig regularly I have played in a variety of different situations. From blues, funk, jazz, rock, heavy metal, hardcore, cheesy covers bands through to Irish Ceilidh. I love music, all different kinds. And I honestly would be hard pressed to tell you of a style of music I don’t like. I hope this enthusiasm comes through in my teaching.
